Elisabetta Cocciaretto edged out Anna Bondar 6-7 (3), 7-6 (6), 7-5 on Saturday and will face the winner of the match between No 9 seed Diane Parry and Clara Burel for the title
Italian Elisabetta Cocciaretto, the second seed, edged out Hungarian Anna Bondar 6-7 (3), 7-6 (6), 7-5 to reach the final of the Ladies Open Lausanne on Saturday.
Cocciaretto, ranked No 42, will face the winner of the match between No 9 seed Diane Parry and Clara Burel next.
Earlier in the tournament, the 22-year-old Italian won against Swiss wildcard Celine Naef (3-6, 7-6 (1), 6-2), Argentinian Julia Riera (6-1, 3-6, 6-3) and Russian Elina Avanesyan, the No 8 seed (7-5, 6-3).
Bondar, ranked No 155, beat Spaniard Aliona Bolsova (6-1, 6-3), Russian Mirra Andreeva, the No 6 seed (7-6 (3), 6-3) and Slovenian Tamara Zidansek (6-2, 6-0) in the previous rounds.
