Hungarian Anna Bondar beat Slovenian Tamara Zidansek 6-2, 6-0 to move into the semi-finals of the Ladies Open Lausanne on Friday.
Bondar, ranked No 155, will face Italian Elisabetta Cocciaretto, the second seed, next.
The Hungarian won against Spaniard Aliona Bolsova (6-1, 6-3) and Russian Mirra Andreeva, the No 6 seed (7-6 (3), 6-3) ahead of her victory.
In the previous rounds, Zidansek, ranked No 133, won against Italian Lucia Bronzetti, the No 4 seed (6-2, 6-4) and Spaniard Sara Sorribes Tormo (6-3, 7-5).
