Argentinian Maria Lourdes Carle, the No 6 seed, moved into the second round of the La Bisbal d’Emporda Open by defeating Sara Bejlek 6-1, 6-3 at the Club Esportiu CT La Bisbal in La Bisbal d’Emporda on Monday.
Carle, ranked No 98, will face Andorran qualifier Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva next.
