Spaniard Rebeka Masarova, the No 5 seed, moved into the final of the La Bisbal d’Emporda Open by defeating Serb Olga Danilovic 6-3, 6-2 at the Club Esportiu CT La Bisbal in La Bislab d’Emporda.
Masarova, ranked No 91, will face Argentinian Maria Lourdes Carle, the No 6 seed, next.
The Spaniard won against Frenchwoman Fiona Ferro (2-6, 6-1, 6-1), Jessica Bouzas Maneiro (6-3, 6-2) and Slovak Rebecca Sramkova (6-2, 4-6, 6-2) ahead of her victory.
Earlier in the tournament, Danilovic, ranked No 128, beat Latvian Darja Semenistaja, the No 8 seed (6-3, 6-1), Romanian lucky loser Elena-Gabriela Ruse (6-4, 6-3) and Frenchwoman Elsa Jacquemot (7-6, 3-6, 6-3).
