L & T Mumbai Open: Sawangkaew advances to quarter-finals
Mananchaya Sawangkaew beat Linda Fruhvirtova 4-6, 6-2, 6-0 on Thursday. She’ll play Thai Lanlana Tararudee in the next round
Thai Mananchaya Sawangkaew, the No 8 seed, won against Linda Fruhvirtova 4-6, 6-2, 6-0 to move into the quarter-finals of the L & T Mumbai Open on Thursday.
Sawangkaew, ranked No 121, will face Thai Lanlana Tararudee next.
The 22-year-old Thai beat Slovenian Dalila Jakupovic (6-3, 6-1) ahead of her victory.
In the previous round, Fruhvirtova, ranked No 195, edged out American lucky loser Jessica Failla (6-3, 4-6, 6-4).
