Arianne Hartono benefited from the abandonment of Kyoka Okamura (3-6, 7-6 (4), 5-0) on Monday night and will play the winner of the match between American Emina Bektas and Swiss Jil Teichmann, the No 5 seed, in the next round
Dutchwoman Arianne Hartono moved into the last 16 of the L & T Mumbai Open when Japanese Kyoka Okamura retired on Monday.
Hartono, ranked No 174, led 3-6, 7-6 (4), 5-0 when Okamura, ranked No 185, pulled out.
The Dutchwoman will face the winner of the match between American Emina Bektas and Swiss Jil Teichmann, the No 5 seed, next.
