Korea Open: Wickmayer knocks out Polina Kudermetova to reach semi-finals

Belgian Yanina Wickmayer defeated Russian Polina Kudermetova 6-3, 6-1 to advance to the last four of the Korea Open at the Seoul Olympic Park Tennis Center, Seoul.
Wickmayer, ranked No 83, will face top seed Jessica Pegula next.
Ahead of her victory, the 33-year-old Belgian won against qualifier En-Shuo Liang (6-3, 6-4) and Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova, the No 3 seed (6-3, 7-6 (6)).
Kudermetova, ranked No 170, won against American Alycia Parks, the No 6 seed (3-6, 6-1, 6-0) and Liechtensteiner Kathinka von Deichmann (6-3, 6-1) in the previous rounds of the Seoul tournament.
