Korea Open: Pegula recovers to beat compatriot Liu and book spot in last four

Top seed Jessica Pegula advanced to the semi-finals of the Korea Open by beating Claire Liu 4-6, 6-3, 6-0 at the Seoul Olympic Park Tennis Center.
Pegula, ranked No 4, will face the winner of the match between Belgian Yanina Wickmayer and Russian Polina Kudermetova next.
Earlier in the tournament, Jessica Pegula beat Slovak Viktoria Hruncakova (6-2, 6-4) and Ashlyn Krueger (6-3, 6-1).
Liu, ranked No 98, won against qualifier Yeonwoo Ku (6-3, 6-3) and Dutchwoman Arantxa Rus, the No 7 seed (1-6, 6-3, 3-0 ret.) in the previous rounds of the Seoul tournament.
