Korea Open: Yuan makes second round

Chinese Yue Yuan, the No 8 seed, won against Romanian qualifier Elena-Gabriela Ruse 4-6, 6-2, 6-2 to move into the second round of the Korea Open at the Olympic Park Tennis Center in Seoul on Monday.

Yuan, ranked No 40, will play the winner of the match between American Peyton Stearns and Emma Raducanu next.
