Korea Open: Kostyuk beats Watson to reach last eight
The 18th-ranked Ukrainian will face Russian Diana Shnaider, the No 4 seed, in the next round

Ukraine’s Marta Kostyuk, the No 5 seed, reached the quarter-finals of the Korea Open by defeating qualifier Heather Watson 6-2, 6-2 at the Olympic Park Tennis Center in Seoul on Wednesday.
This was the Ukrainian’s second win in as many meetings against Watson.
Kostyuk, ranked No 18, will face Russian Diana Shnaider, the No 4 seed, for a spot in the semi-finals.
The 22-year-old Ukrainian won against Dutchwoman Arantxa Rus (6-3, 6-1) earlier in the week.
In the previous round of the tournament, Watson, ranked No 183, beat Chinese qualifier Jia-Jing Lu (6-4, 6-4).
