Japan Open: Top seed Zhu moves into quarter-finals, faces Mandlik next
The Chinese player beat Moyuka Uchijima 6-4, 4-6, 6-1 on Thursday

China’s Lin Zhu, the top seed, moved into the last eight of the Kinoshita Group Japan Open Tennis Championships by beating Japanese wildcard Moyuka Uchijima 6-4, 4-6, 6-1 on Thursday.
Zhu, ranked No 35, will face American qualifier Elizabeth Mandlik next.
In the previous round, the Chinese player won against Xiyu Wang (6-4, 6-4).
Uchijima, ranked No 174, won against Indian qualifier Ankita Raina (6-4, 6-2) in the previous round.
