Japan Open: Udvardy knocks out second seed Maria
Panna Udvardy edged out Tatjana Maria 2-6, 6-4, 7-6 (5) on Tuesday and will play the winner of the match between Dutch qualifier Arianne Hartono and Japanese wildcard Misaki Doi in the next round
Hungarian Panna Udvardy edged out German Tatjana Maria, the second seed, 2-6, 6-4, 7-6 (5) to advance to the last 16 of the Kinoshita Group Japan Open Tennis Championships on Tuesday.
Udvardy, ranked No 126, will face the winner of the match between Dutch qualifier Arianne Hartono and Japanese wildcard Misaki Doi next.
