American Ashlyn Krueger won against Ukrainian Kateryna Baindl, the No. 8 seed, (6-2, 6-3) to advance to the last 16 of the Kinoshita Group Japan Open Tennis Championships on Monday night.
Krueger, ranked No. 123, will play the winner of the match between Swiss Viktorija Golubic and Frenchwoman Jessika Ponchet next.
