Russian Diana Shnaider beat Chinese Lin Zhu, the No 5 seed, 6-4, 6-0 to reach the second round of the Jiangxi Open at Nanchang International Tennis Center on Monday afternoon.
Shnaider, ranked No 72, will face Russian Vera Zvonareva next.
