Jiangxi Open: Rus makes second round

Dutchwoman Arantxa Rus, the No 6 seed, moved into the second round of the Jiangxi Open by beating Ukrainian Yuliia Starodubtseva 6-4, 6-7 (2), 6-3 at the Nanchang International Tennis Center on Monday.

Rus, ranked No 83, will play Linda Fruhvirtova next.
