Kimberly Birrell won against Sijia Wei 7-5, 7-5 on Monday night. She’ll face the winner of the match between Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia, the top seed, and Japanese Nao Hibino in the next round

Australian Kimberly Birrell defeated Chinese qualifier Sijia Wei 7-5, 7-5 to move into the second round of the Jiangxi Open at Nanchang International Tennis Center on Monday night.
Birrell, ranked No 102, will play the winner of the match between Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia, the top seed, and Japanese Nao Hibino next.
