Jasmin Open: Starodubtseva moves into quarter-finals

Ukrainian qualifier Yulia Starodubtseva won against Frenchwoman Diane Parry, the No 3 seed, 6-4, 6-4 to reach the quarter-finals of the Jasmin Open at the Skanes Family Hotel Monastir on Wednesday evening.
Starodubtseva, ranked No 130, will face qualifier Sonay Kartal next.
The Ukrainian edged out Dutchwoman Suzan Lamens (6-2, 3-6, 6-4) ahead of her victory.
In the previous round of the Monastir tournament, Parry, ranked No 55, beat Tunisian wildcard Chiraz Bechri (6-3, 6-0).
