Spaniard Sara Sorribes Tormo won against Russian Anna Blinkova, the No 8 seed, 6-4, 6-4 to reach the second round of the Jasmin Open at the Skanes Family Hotel Monastir on Monday evening.
Sorribes Tormo, ranked No 115, will play the winner of the match between Egyptian Mayar Sherif and Croat Jana Fett next.
