Claire Liu won against Emina Bektas 6-2, 7-6 (5) to reach the second round of the Jasmin Open at the Skanes Family Hotel Monastir on Tuesday.
Liu, ranked No 92, will play the winner of the match between Ukrainian Lesia Tsurenko, the No 4 seed, and French qualifier Chloe Paquet next.
