Frenchwoman Clara Burel, the second seed, reached the second round of the Jasmin Open by defeating Spaniard Marina Bassols Ribera 6-2, 6-2 at the Skanes Family Hotel Monastir on Monday evening.
Burel, ranked No 58, will play the winner of the match between Slovak Rebecca Sramkova and French qualifier Elsa Jacquemot next.
