Italian Open: Potapova reaches third round
Anastasia Potapova won against Elisabetta Cocciaretto 6-4, 6-4 on Thursday evening. She’ll face Russian Veronika Kudermetova, the No 11 seed, in the next round
Russian Anastasia Potapova, the No 23 seed, won against Italian Elisabetta Cocciaretto 6-4, 6-4 to advance to the third round of the Italian Open at the Foro Italico in Rome on Thursday evening.
Potapova, ranked No 25, will face Russian Veronika Kudermetova, the No 11 seed, next.
Cocciaretto, ranked No 45, beat American Lauren Davis (6-3, 6-0) in the previous round of the Rome tournament.
