Austrian Julia Grabher advanced to the second round of the Italian Open by winning against Italian wildcard Nuria Brancaccio 6-4, 3-6, 6-2 at the Foro Italico in Rome on Wednesday evening.
Grabher, ranked No 89, will play No 26 seed Jil Teichmann next.
