Italian Open: Bogdan knocks out Fernandez to move into second round
Ana Bogdan defeated Leylah Fernandez 6-4, 6-1 on Tuesday evening and will face No 6 seed Marketa Vondrousova in the next round

Romanian Ana Bogdan beat Canadian Leylah Fernandez 6-4, 6-1 to advance to the 64 of the Italian Open at the Foro Italico in Roma.
Bogdan, ranked No 63, will face No 6 seed Marketa Vondrousova next.
