Indian Wells WTA 1000: Bronzetti books spot in third round

Italian Lucia Bronzetti moved into the third round of the Indian Wells WTA 1000 by defeating Pole Magdalena Frech, the No 30 seed, 6-3, 7-5 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden on Saturday.
Bronzetti, ranked No 62, will play the winner of the match between Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, the top seed, and American McCartney Kessler next.
In the previous round of the Indian Wells tournament, the Italian won against Ukrainian Anhelina Kalinina (6-4, 7-5).
