Indian Wells: Wang advances to second round

Chinese Xinyu Wang reached the second round of the Indian Wells by winning against Belgian Elise Mertens 6-3, 6-1 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden on Wednesday.
Wang, ranked No 67, will face No 18 seed Ekaterina Alexandrova next.
