Indian Wells: Pera reaches third round defeating Samsonova
Bernarda Pera edged out Liudmila Samsonova 2-6, 7-6 (8), 7-6 (6) on Saturday

American Bernarda Pera edged out Russian Liudmila Samsonova, the No 12 seed, 2-6, 7-6 (8), 7-6 (6) to advance to the third round of the Indian Wells at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden on Saturday, saving two match points in the second set.
Pera, ranked No 43, will play the winner of the match between Romanian Sorana Cirstea and American Madison Keys, the No 19 seed, next.
The American won against Italian Lucia Bronzetti (7-5, 4-6, 6-3) in the previous round of the Indian Wells tournament.
