Indian Wells: Kudermetova advances to third round with straight sets win
The Russian will play the winner of the match between Czech Karolina Pliskova, the No 17 seed, and Russian Anna Kalinskaya in the next round

No 11 seed Veronika Kudermetova advanced to the third round of the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells by winning against Anna Blinkova 6-3, 6-4 on Friday.
Kudermetova, ranked No 11, will play the winner of the match between Czech Karolina Pliskova, the No 17 seed, and Russian Anna Kalinskaya next.
In the previous round of the Indian Wells tournament, Blinkova, ranked No 69, defeated American wildcard Ann Li (6-1, 6-2).
