Frenchwoman Leolia Jeanjean won against Dutchwoman Suzan Lamens, the second seed, 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 to advance to the quarter-finals of the IEB + Argentina Open on Wednesday evening.
Jeanjean, ranked No 179, will face the winner of the match between Sara Bejlek and Spaniard Angela Fita Boluda next.
The Frenchwoman defeated Portuguese Francisca Jorge (6-4, 6-3) in the previous round.
In the previous round, Lamens, ranked No 87, won against American qualifier Robin Anderson (6-3, 6-1).
