Sara Bejlek beat Frenchwoman Leolia Jeanjean 2-6, 6-4, 6-0 to reach the last 4 of the IEB + Argentina Open on Friday evening.
Bejlek, ranked No 210, will face the winner of the match between Argentinian wildcard Jazmin Ortenzi and Egyptian Mayar Sherif, the No 4 seed, next.
Ahead of her victory, Sara Bejlek won against American Robin Montgomery, the No 5 seed (5-7, 7-6 (3), 6-1) and Spaniard Angela Fita Boluda (6-2, 6-1).
Jeanjean, ranked No 179, won against Portuguese Francisca Jorge (6-4, 6-3) and Dutchwoman Suzan Lamens, the second seed (4-6, 6-4, 6-2) in the previous rounds.
