Iasi Open: Bondar reaches quarter-finals
Anna Bondar won against Marina Bassols Ribera 7-5, 6-4 on Tuesday night and will play the winner of the match between Serb Olga Danilovic and Romanian Anca Todoni in the next round
Hungarian Anna Bondar, the No 8 seed, reached the quarter-finals of the Iasi Open by winning against Spaniard Marina Bassols Ribera 7-5, 6-4 at the Ciric Sports Base on Tuesday night.
Bondar, ranked No 99, will play the winner of the match between Serb Olga Danilovic and Romanian Anca Todoni next.
In the previous round of the Iasi tournament, the Hungarian beat Belgian qualifier Marie Benoit (6-3, 6-1).
Bassols Ribera, ranked No 122, won against Romanian wildcard Irina Bara (6-2, 6-3) during the first round of the Iasi tournament.
