Hungarian Open: Qualifier Topalova falls in first round
Sara Sorribes Tormo edged out Gergana Topalova 4-6, 6-3, 7-5 on Monday afternoon. She’ll play Slovak Anna Karolina Schmiedlova in the next round
Spaniard Sara Sorribes Tormo, the No 4 seed, advanced to the second round of the Hungarian Open by edging out Bulgarian qualifier Gergana Topalova 4-6, 6-3, 7-5 at Római Tennis Academy in Budapest on Monday.
Sorribes Tormo, ranked No 59, will face Slovak Anna Karolina Schmiedlova next.
