Hungarian Open: Seidel beats Bondar to book spot in quarter-finals
Ella Seidel beat Anna Bondar 7-5, 7-5 on Thursday afternoon and will play top seed Diana Shnaider in the next round

German lucky loser Ella Seidel reached the last eight of the Hungarian Open by beating Hungarian Anna Bondar 7-5, 7-5 at Római Tennis Academy in Budapest.
Seidel, ranked No 166, will face top seed Diana Shnaider next.
In the previous round of the Budapest tournament, the 19-year-old German benefited from the abandonment of Japanese Moyuka Uchijima, the No 7 seed (6-1, 1-0).
Bondar, ranked No 98, defeated Serb Olga Danilovic (7-6 (5), 6-4) in the previous round of the Budapest tournament.
