Belarusian Aliaksandra Sasnovich advanced to the second round of the Hungarian Open by edging out Bulgarian Viktoriya Tomova, the second seed, 2-6, 6-2, 6-4 at Római Tennis Academy in Budapest on Monday.
Sasnovich, ranked No 134, will face Russian Maria Timofeeva next.
