Belarusian Aliaksandra Sasnovich beat Russian Maria Timofeeva 6-3, 6-4 to move into the last 8 of the Hungarian Open at Római Tennis Academy in Budapest.
Sasnovich, ranked No 134, will play the winner of the match between Dutchwoman Suzan Lamens and French qualifier Carole Monnet next.
The Belarusian edged out Bulgarian Viktoriya Tomova, the second seed (2-6, 6-2, 6-4) ahead of her victory.
In the previous round of the Budapest tournament, Timofeeva, ranked No 103, defeated Swiss qualifier Simona Waltert (7-5, 7-6 (3)).
