Kazakh Yulia Putintseva, the No 4 seed, moved into the last 16 of the Hungarian Open by winning against Ukrainian qualifier Kateryna Volodko 1-6, 6-2, 6-1 at Római Tennis Academy in Budapest.
Putintseva, ranked No 60, will face Claire Liu next.
