Russian qualifier Ekaterina Makarova moved into the second round of the Hungarian Open by beating Hungarian wildcard Timea Babos 6-3, 6-1 at Római Tennis Academy.
Makarova, ranked No 183, will play the winner of the match between Russian Diana Shnaider, the top seed, and Hungarian wildcard Fanny Stollar next.
