Claire Liu advanced to the last 16 of the Hungarian Open by winning against qualifier Louisa Chirico 6-4, 6-4 at Római Tennis Academy in Budapest on Monday.
Liu, ranked No 88, will face the winner of the match between Ukrainian qualifier Kateryna Volodko and Kazakh Yulia Putintseva, the No 4 seed, next.
