Russian Elina Avanesyan, the No 6 seed, won against Slovak Rebecca Sramkova 2-6, 6-4, 6-3 to reach the last 16 of the Hungarian Open at Római Tennis Academy in Budapest on Monday.
Avanesyan, ranked No 69, will play the winner of the match between Timea Babos and Anna Bondar next.
