Hungarian Grand Prix: Putintseva makes second round
Yulia Putintseva won against Anna-Karolina Schmiedlova 6-4, 6-1 on Tuesday afternoon. She’ll face the winner of the match between Swede Rebecca Peterson and Brazilian lucky loser Laura Pigossi in the next round
Kazakh Yulia Putintseva, the No 3 seed, advanced to the second round of the Hungarian Grand Prix by winning against Slovak Anna-Karolina Schmiedlova 6-4, 6-1 at Római Tennis Academy in Budapest on Tuesday.
Putintseva, ranked No 32, will play the winner of the match between Swede Rebecca Peterson and Brazilian lucky loser Laura Pigossi next.
