Hungarian Grand Prix: Bondar reaches semi-finals

Hungarian Anna Bondar, the No 9 seed, reached the last 4 of the Hungarian Grand Prix by beating Italian Martina Trevisan, the second seed, 6-4, 6-1 at Római Tennis Academy in Budapest on Friday.
Bondar, ranked No 53, will face American qualifier Bernarda Pera next.
Ahead of her victory, the Hungarian won against Czech qualifier Jesika Maleckova (6-4, 6-4) and Greek qualifier Despina Papamichail (6-2, 6-3).
Trevisan, ranked No 26, defeated Hungarian wildcard Natalia Szabanin (2-6, 6-2, 6-0) and Ukrainian qualifier Kateryna Baindl (6-4, 7-5) in the previous rounds of the Hungarian Open.
