Chinese Wang Xiyu moved into the second round of the Hong Kong Open by winning against American qualifier Hina Inoue 6-3, 7-6 (2) at Victoria Park, Causeway Bay on Monday.
Wang, ranked No 100, will face the winner of the match between Japanese Aoi Ito and second seed Katie Boulter next.
