Hong Kong Open: Sorribes Tormo books spot in quarter-finals, to play Blinkova
The Spaniard beat Xinyu Wang 6-4, 4-6, 6-1 in the second round on Thursday

Spain’s Sara Sorribes Tormo moved into the quarter-finals of the Hong Kong Open by winning against Chinese Xinyu Wang, the No 4 seed, 6-4, 4-6, 6-1 in Hong Kong on Thursday.
Sorribes Tormo, ranked No 57, will play Russian Anna Blinkova, the No 5 seed, next.
In the previous round of the Hong Kong tournament, the Spaniard defeated wildcard Ho Ching Wu (6-1, 6-0).
Wang, ranked No 32, benefited from the retirement of Russian Elina Avanesyan (6-2, 4-1) earlier in the week.
