Katerina Siniakova defeated Russian Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova 7-6 (1), 6-4 to advance to the last four of the Hong Kong Open on Friday.
Siniakova, ranked No 85, will face Italian Martina Trevisan, the No 6 seed, next.
Ahead of her victory, Katerina Siniakova won against Chinese Xiyu Wang (6-4, 7-6 (7)) and Russian Kamilla Rakhimova (6-7 (3), 6-3, 6-1).
Pavlyuchenkova, ranked No 61, beat Croat Jana Fett (6-0, 6-0) and Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia, the second seed (7-5, 1-6, 6-1) earlier in the tournament.
