Beatriz Haddad Maia edged out Aliaksandra Sasnovich 7-6 (3), 3-6, 7-6 (3) on Wednesday night. She’ll face Russian Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in the next round
Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia, the second seed, advanced to the second round of the Hong Kong Open by edging out Belarusian Aliaksandra Sasnovich 7-6 (3), 3-6, 7-6 (3).
Haddad Maia, ranked No 20, will face Russian Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova next.
