Linda Fruhvirtova beat Russian qualifier Alina Korneeva 6-3, 7-5 to move into the quarter-finals of the Hong Kong Open.
Fruhvirtova, ranked No 88, will face the winner of the match between Canadian Leylah Fernandez and Russian Mirra Andreeva next.
In the previous round of the Hong Kong tournament, Linda Fruhvirtova edged out American Peyton Stearns, the No 7 seed (3-6, 6-4, 6-4).
Korneeva, ranked No 179, won against Valeria Savinykh (6-4, 2-6, 6-3) in the first round of the Hong Kong tournament.
