Hong Kong Open: Fernandez moves into second round
Leylah Fernandez defeated Heather Watson 6-2, 6-2 on Tuesday and will face Australian Kimberly Birrell in the next round

Canadian Leylah Fernandez, the No 3 seed, advanced to the second round of the Hong Kong Open by beating Heather Watson 6-2, 6-2 at Victoria Park, Causeway Bay on Tuesday.
Fernandez, ranked No 32, will play Australian Kimberly Birrell next.
