Hong Kong Open: Fernandez through after top seed Azarenka retires
Leylah Fernandez benefited from the abandonment of Victoria Azarenka (2-6, 6-3) on Tuesday and will face Russian Mirra Andreeva in the next round

Canadian Leylah Fernandez reached the second round of the Hong Kong Open when Belarusian Victoria Azarenka, the top seed, retired.
Fernandez, ranked No 60, led 2-6, 6-3 when Azarenka, ranked No 19, pulled out on Tuesday afternoon.
The 21-year-old Canadian will play Russian Mirra Andreeva next.
