Russian Anna Blinkova, the No 7 seed, advanced to the last 16 of the Hong Kong 125 Open by beating Thai qualifier Peangtarn Plipuech 6-1, 6-2 on Tuesday.
Blinkova, ranked No 78, will play the winner of the match between Romanian wildcard Simona Halep and Australian Arina Rodionova next.
