Chinese lucky loser Xinyu Wang beat Australian wildcard Olivia Gadecki 6-4, 7-5 to reach the second round of the Hobart International 1 at the Domain Tennis Centre on Monday.
Wang, ranked No 86, will face the winner of the match between Belgian Alison Van Uytvanck and Pole Magda Linette, the No 7 seed, next.
