Hobart International 1: Putintseva moves into quarter-finals
Yulia Putintseva defeated Nuria Parrizas Diaz 6-2, 6-3 on Wednesday. She’ll face Russian qualifier Anna Blinkova in the next round

Kazakh Yulia Putintseva, the No 8 seed, defeated Spanish qualifier Nuria Parrizas Diaz 6-2, 6-3 to reach the quarter-finals of the Hobart International 1 at the Domain Tennis Centre on Wednesday.
Putintseva, ranked No 51, will face Russian qualifier Anna Blinkova next.
In the previous round of the Hobart tournament, the Kazakh won against American Claire Liu (6-2, 6-4).
Parrizas Diaz, ranked No 77, beat Egyptian Mayar Sherif (2-6, 6-2, 6-1) in the first round of the Hobart tournament.
